Brunch A formal late-morning gathering including breakfast and lunch foods and good speakers.
Canvass Hitting the pavement on behalf of a specific progressive need.
Conference Gathering to discuss certain policy issues
Cultural/Arts Joining progressives to take in a show, concert, First Friday, festival or performance in the community.
Drinking Liberally Social gathering with like-minded progressives
Educational A chance to learn something from a visiting speaker or a community program.
Forum/Townhall An information exchange on a particular policy topic typically featuring public officials or experts in a field interacting with the public.
Fundraiser Opening the wallet for a progressive cause.
Lunch Meeting or presentation including lunch.
Meeting Gathering of a group for social, educational or community service outreach.
Party If you need a definition of this, you shouldn't be trying to create this event.
Petitioning Gathering signatures for or against specific public policy.
Phone Bank Dialing for progressive policy.
Press Conference Designed to draw media attention
Protest Gathering to oppose a specific public policy, practice or public official's stance.
Rally Mustering support for an issue
Road Trip Kicking it to the rurals or the big city to promote progressive causes.
Summit An educational meeting used to help organize around a particular progressive policy.
Vigil An event marking an anniversary or remembering someone for their service.
